YOU WILL

The world of transport and logistics is electrifying rapidly and at Scania we are committed to give our customers the world's best charging experience. As our UX designer you will solve complex problems related to interaction, usability and interfaces across platform and devices. You will be involved throughout the design process and will be working with Double Diamond design process model. We strongly believe that design is a collaborative effort. Therefore, involving the end-users and working closely with our developers are required to optimize the user experience. Further you will:

- design and deliver interfaces of exceptional quality, apply design thinking, conduct user research, usability testing, translating data analytics, and costumer insights into user flows, prototypes, and final designs.

- plan and facilitate workshops with Business and Tech stakeholders, translating their demands/requirements into designs, putting the user in the centre

YOU ARE

You are a passionate designer with at least a few years of experience within UX design. You love backing your design with research and testing to ensure the best possible design. For this role you need to have good communication skills in written and spoken English, educational background in Interaction Design or similar, and excellent skills in Figma.

As a person you are creative, curious, and enthusiastic. You bring energy to the teams you work with, and you love collaborating with others. You are great and consistent at giving as well as asking for constructive design and personal feedback. The E-sector at Scania including embedded development is undergoing a large transformation right now becoming more flow-oriented with the goal to become faster and with better quality! This affects how about 1000 employees are working with the development of Scania´s electrical and embedded systems. Who You Are

Your profile

We believe that you have a degree within the Automation area and several years of experience in similar roles. You understand what it means to support a production unit and be comfortable with various tasks in the area.

In previous positions, you have gained extensive knowledge of different techniques and products in the field, and have successfully implemented large-scale solutions. You should be well-versed in PLC/SCADA systems, particularly Ignition and Siemens products such as TIA Portal and SIMATIC WinCC or similar. Experience with server and programing languages such as Python is a plus.

The Software factory at Scania, including embedded development, is undergoing a large transformation right now, becoming more flow-oriented with the goal to be faster with better quality! This affects how about 1000 employees are working with the development of Scania´s electrical and embedded systems.

One important factor for this to succeed is to have clear structures, processes, and information management in place. The transformation within Embedded means that the present way of working needs to be challenged and updated. Today legal requirements in this area are also increasing, for example, SUMS (Software Update Management system) and CSMS (Cyber Security Management System). Besides it, the Methods will be aligned with ISO 26262 standard.

We currently need to further develop new embedded methods. Examples of embedded methods are:

YOU WILL

The Embedded method development team is fresh and growing fast. Together with all co-workers involved in embedded processes and tools we either enhance existing methods or develop new methods. With a high focus on Safety, we aim to gain speed in our development work without jeopardizing the premium level of Scania products.
 
As a Cyber Security architect or Functional Safety architect, you will work cross-functionally in close collaboration with method users (testers, system owners, developers, etc), and also with tool developers. You will be responsible for the following:


• Define the concept of a method by collecting experience and deep-diving into the needs.
• Identify how the working process/methods should be by discussing with stakeholders and describing it in a documented way.
• Identify the need for tools to support the process/methods. If you conclude it is needed you will act as a product owner of this tool. By that, you will define the functional specifications and set the priorities.

You will join the Quality Information team which is a fantastic team of data warehouse developers, analysts and data scientists within R&D at Scania. We work with data analysis and management of information connected to the contract sales, quality KPI's and BI-tools to analyse the quality of Scanias products.

YOU WILL
Your responsibility will be to further develop current ETL flow and data staging structures using the Data Vault principle. In cooperation with other data warehouse developers you will take lead in developing the current data warehouse and sustainable ETL-flow that supports both advanced analytics and self-service BI solutions. You will be part of a group with different expertise’s and responsibilities, that always strive for a common goal as a team. To be successful at your job, you must understand the big picture and take responsibility of your own work as well as helping the team when it is needed.

You will be responsible for:


• development and implementation of the data flow architecture in terms of ETL flows for good performance, traceability, manageability and security.
• building dimensional Kimball modelling on top of the Data Vault structure 
• development and monitoring of data integrations
• maintenance of existing data structure
• to follow the development of new technology and techniques that can enhance Scanias data platform

YOU ARE
We believe you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in systems or computer science or equivalent. Work 2-5 years of experience as Data Warehouse Development. It is also a requirement for you to have good language skills in English in speech and writing. As a person you are described as curious and having the entrepreneurial spirit, have excellent problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in developing in the role as a DW developer. It is considered as a meritorious/advantage if you have previous experience of big data technologies and Data Vault modelling. Knowledge or experience is also required in the following areas:


• Server and SSIS ETL concepts
• Good data warehouse knowledge
• communication skills needed to cooperate with Scania central IT department to find the best and most efficient and effective solution for a sustainable ETL-flow.

 Finally, it is advantage if you have good communication skills in Swedish.

YOU WILL
The end-users for our systems are the workshops and the mechanics working there. We are part of Service Information that provides end-users with information. Our team´s mission and responsibility is to enable and build solutions so that end-users can receive and use the information as a system support. This can include data and information about spare parts and diagnostic codes. At the moment, we have one on-premise based solution and a new cloud and AWS-based system to be deployed globally. Our new system will provide the end-users with a variety of opportunities such as the possibility to order products, plan maintenance, perform digital protocols and to visualize spare parts.

You will join a team of two other DevOps Engineers and other colleagues working as System Owner, Test Coordinator and Support (3rd line). Some of your tasks and responsibilities will be to:

- Handle parallel activities as we have parallel editions and do releases every three weeks.
- Work and communicate in a structured way by breaking down and setting up services - e.g. which repositories / pipelines are needed and how they are connected.
- Participate in ongoing improvement activities within configuration management.
- Work with particular complex procedures that requires troubleshooting.
- Update and improve processes for the construction chain (CI / CD) of our products diagnostic tool SDP3 and the new cloud-based Scania Workshop Suite (SWS).
- Set up and be responsible for monitoring our services and products.
- Maintain and improve build, import and consistency control scripts for our SDP3 (old) and SWS products.

YOU ARE
We expect you to have a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience of DevOps-based development and configuring services such as Python, Perl, Powershell and Bash. You also need to have knowledge of and experience in systems for version management, monitoring and modern DevOps with Gitlab CI, AWS, Docker, Ansible and Vagrant. To be successful in this position you should also have knowledge in programming languages ??such as Java, create script and Jenkins. Master/bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study is needed for this position.
