From a technical perspective, the team works with Java and Spring Boot for backend, and Angular for frontend. As an I-Talent, you will therefore gain hands-on experience across the full stack—working with Spring Boot to build robust and scalable backend services, and with Angular to develop intuitive and user-friendly frontend applications.

However, this role is about more than writing code. We are looking for someone who is curious about the bigger picture, someone who wants to understand why we build what we build, not just how. You should feel motivated to challenge and explore requirements, question assumptions, and help refine solutions so that we create the right things, not merely implement what is written.

You will work in the intersection between IT and R&D, collaborating closely with technical experts, researchers, and product specialists. This environment requires a mindset driven by exploration, problem understanding, and innovation. You will take part in the entire development journey: from idea and analysis to implementation and continuous improvement.

- Ability to start in September 2026 and primarily work on-site in Södertälje.

Uppdragsbeskrivning:
Syftet med uppdraget är att förvalta och vidareutveckla ett komponentbibliotek. Komponentbiblioteket skall hålla god kodkvalitet och validera mot de regelverk som finns på EU-nivå så väl som svensk lagstiftning. Komponentbiblioteket tillgängliggörs via de vanliga plattformar som används inom frontend-utveckling varför god kunskap om NPM pakethanterare, Bitbucket med flera krävs. Komponentbiblioteket är under ständig vidareutveckling varför god kännedom om i vilken riktning omvärlden tar gällande utveckling är av största vikt.
Uppdraget förutsätter en erfaren frontend-utvecklare med väldokumenterad erfarenhet. Your responsibilities

As a UX/UI Designer for our innovative project, you'll play a key role in improving our user experiences and outcomes. Our users are at the center of everything we do, and you'll be their advocate throughout the design process - from defining their needs to designing the interface and acting on their feedback. 

Our product is a browser-based responsive dashboard used by users around the world. You'll work to ensure that our product meets and exceeds user expectations. 

You'll be part of an agile team of competent developers and have a close collaboration with our PO. You will also be part of other UX/UI forum. The team is constantly learning and exploring new tools and techniques to deliver high-quality design solutions.



We hope you have the following mindset and competence

As a person, you are curious to learn new techniques and skills. You have a positive attitude and like to cooperate with your team, but can also work independently when required. Who we are

Our group is developing applications that enable collaboration between the Traton brands within what we call the Product Information Sharing Flow. We provide services to cross-reference parts from different brands, and facilitate the workflow for our external partners. For example, one service we will develop in the coming months will help a bus body manufacturer exchange product information with Scania. We work closely with our colleagues at other groups to understand the business value and develop solutions that work for our customers.

Today, we work within a broader SAFe framework, organised into two agile teams. The two teams consist of a good mix of people with different backgrounds, interests and skills, and are really motivated to learn together to develop further. We are now looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join one of the teams.

Your profile

When we have discussed the ideal candidate for us, our architect described the person we seek well. She explained it like this:

"We need someone who can work independently when needed, but who can also help the whole team grow by working together, mentoring, and supporting other developers in their development."

As a Senior Frontend Developer in our group, you will lead by example, developing our applications, and you will have a chance to grow within the role to be one of our lead developers.

You should have experience as a frontend developer, working with agile methods. We expect that you bring knowledge of and ability to use front-end frameworks to create responsive web applications. While we use Angular today, we believe that the ideal candidate for us will be someone who can adapt and learn new skills and frameworks, even if not having the deep experience with the frameworks we use today. We provide good opportunities to learn at work, by working with others in the group, participating in formal training prorgams, or working with external Open Source projects.

Furthermore, we expect you to be able to express yourself fluently in English, written as well as spoken.

Our group is developing applications that enable collaboration between the Traton brands within what we call the Product Information Sharing Flow. We provide services to cross-reference parts from different brands, and facilitate the workflow for our external partners. For example, one service we will develop in the coming months will help a bus body manufacturer exchange product information with Scania. We work closely with our colleagues at other groups to understand the business value and develop solutions that work for our customers.

Today, we work within a broader SAFe framework, organised into two agile teams. The two teams consist of a good mix of people with different backgrounds, interests and skills, and are really motivated to learn together to develop further. We are now looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join one of the teams.

As a Senior Frontend Developer in our group, you will lead by example, developing our applications, and you will have a chance to grow within the role to be one of our lead developers.

Your role

Our group are working with the applications in the telematic units in the truck as well as back-end for IOT applications. We stream the data to our IT systems where we clean and enrich the data and send it to other teams in Scania for end user applications. The scrum teams are mixed, with T-shaped competence where you have your main competence in backend with AWS/Python/C# or embedded system with C++.
We are in the middle of the journey moving to cloud (AWS), we have really exiting journey in front of us supporting the growing IOT business and supporting existing and future needs for Scania with going electrified and autonomous.

Your work assignment

OAS (Object and Structure tool) is Scania’s in-house developed PDM (Product Data Management) system. OAS is a core system which enables Scania’s modular approach when building vehicles by housing product data, structures and support for lifecycle management. The OAS organization consists of product owners, business analysts, developers, testers and much more. Currently there are six development teams working with OAS. Your Responsibility:

As a developer in an agile team within OAS, you will be involved in requirements, development and testing. OAS technically is divided into multiple layers. The system is built upon Oracle database. OAS handles s lot of data and performs complex queries, so in order to reach desired performance Oracle Coherence is used. Oracle Coherence is a cache layer that store frequently used data and reduce response time. The data is exposed through API:s developed in Java and are used both by external consumers and internally. The frontend consists of multiple AngularJS and Angular apps. What distinguishes OAS frontend from many other web applications is the use of the HATEOAS architecture where the data specifies what operations can be performed on the data in the frontend.
