We are building up a new functionality for Scania, that will be a game changer for our ability to develop new solutions. It is on high complexity level and therefore we have started to gather some of the big brains of Scania, combining that with people loving leaders and ambitious developers. The first steps we have taken prove that we can deliver fantastic value for the company, and with the raised expectations we need to level up with competence to reach even higher grounds!

What is it that we do?

Scania is dedicated to reach the science based targets with a sustainable transportation solution. In the ever changing world – capabilities to give frequent iterations with fast feedback loops is the key for getting speed and flexibility in the development of new solutions. The CI-machine is the key enabler for this! Simplified you can say, that we work to make the world better! ????

Today many companies implement Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for their software development. Some have also succeeded to implement it for both software and hardware for a specific product platform. Our task is to create an automated pipeline – integration as a service - so that a designer can Build, Configure and Trigger relevant tests - for both software and hardware, for the complete Scania modular system.

This we will be cutting edge!! And when we succeed we will be in a position that gives Scania and the other brands in our group a super chance to succeed in developing sustainable solutions with World class Speed and Flexibility!

Who are you?

Are you skilled at connecting the dots, while at the same time able to discern the important details and the nuances that follow from those details? Do you have the ability to process large quantities of complex information and convert it into easily comprehensible key take-aways? Do you have a strong intuition, combined with a willingness to follow it up through systematic observations and studies?

We are looking for a Business IT Analyst who can easily understand interactions and dependencies between processes, information structures and IT systems. The person we are looking for is also a skilled communicator who can adjust her or his message to the intended audience, as the stakeholders involved act on varying abstraction levels and domains.

As a person, we believe that you have a go-getter mentality and are motivated by working with matters that have previously been regarded as impossible or too far-fetched.

Your main responsibilities will include

• leading business needs studies, process mapping and requirement management, spanning from business to IT-implementation
• taking part in developing technical solutions and continuously verifying that these are in accordance with the requirements at hand

 Desired knowledge & experiences:

• Product development, both hardware and software design (regardless of brand)
• Product Data Management-systems, such as Scania’s OAS, Catia etc.
• Agile way of working; having probing mindset, working with minimum viable product, customer co-creation and collaboration, Scaled Agile Framework
• Cooperation among different brands within Traton

 What can we offer?

Scania is transforming our way of working from traditional organizational silos to scaled Lean agile. We have started up a Value Creation Team (of teams) (a.k.a. “ART” in SAFe). We are until now acting like a start-up, with a strong combination of senior in-house expertise and fresh ideas from the outside ????.

We have a common goal, and will strive for an awesome team spirit that will make us use everyone’s competence to the max, independently on formal role.

Welcome onboard and join our exciting journey!

• Identify how the working process/methods should be by discussing with stakeholders and describing it in a documented way.
• Identify the need for tools to support the process/methods. If you conclude it is needed you will act as a product owner of this tool. By that, you will define the functional specifications and set the priorities.
• Implement the methods by teaching and coaching. This will give you a very large network in embedded systems
• Maintaining this method will be part of your responsibility. You will implement improvements and adapt the methods for the new business needs, based on the implementation experience.

YOU ARE

As a person, you are truly interested in other people’s opinions to understand the needs of different roles. You value collaborations and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition to that, you are result oriented, open, flexible can go with the flow, has good analytical & logical skills.

The Software factory at Scania, including embedded development, is undergoing a large transformation right now, becoming more flow-oriented with the goal to be faster with better quality! This affects how about 1000 employees are working with the development of Scania´s electrical and embedded systems.

One important factor for this to succeed is to have clear structures, processes, and information management in place. The transformation within Embedded means that the present way of working needs to be challenged and updated. Today legal requirements in this area are also increasing, for example, SUMS (Software Update Management system) and CSMS (Cyber Security Management System). Besides it, the Methods will be aligned with ISO 26262 standard.

We currently need to further develop new embedded methods. Examples of embedded methods are:

• TARA (Threat analysis and risk assessment)
• HARA
• Planning Functional safety in product development
• Mapping ISO 26262, etc.

Is this sound interesting? Then join us and let’s develop our skills together and share knowledge to create outstanding solutions.

YOU WILL

The Embedded method development team is fresh and growing fast. Together with all co-workers involved in embedded processes and tools we either enhance existing methods or develop new methods. With a high focus on Safety, we aim to gain speed in our development work without jeopardizing the premium level of Scania products.

• Define the concept of a method by collecting experience and deep-diving into the needs.

Last but now least, your ability to see the whole picture and how different parts affect the test management system will be an asset in this role. At the same time, you see the importance of getting things right and working meticulously with details.

IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, WE ALSO SEE THAT YOU HAVE:

• A couple of years of experience in embedded systems preferably from the automotive industry & ISO 26262.
• Academic degree in IT, engineering, or computer science or equivalent.
• Good communication in English in both speaking and writing.
• Experience in cyber security or functional safety or over-the-air updates are meritorious.

WE OFFER

To succeed in our mission we embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. Our group is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

Scania’s culture is characterized by openness, diversity, and respect for the individual. The people who work here are our most important assets, so we will invest in you to help you grow with us.
