dagar i veckan.

Skallkrav

teknikföretag i världsklass.

Our services and products are used 24/7 by more than 15.000 technicians in Scania’s global service network to keep the rolling stock of more than 800.000 vehicles up and running all the time.

Your challenge

is to make the feature development teams succeed. By providing them with a top-notch AWS experience, Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to brag about, and a bulletproof environment that survives the harsh reality online. You do this together with likeminded in a team.

What are we looking for?

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions.

IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Are you a Senior Backend Developer who is looking for new challenges in life? Then this might be just the right opportunity for you.

The team
We are now seeking a backend developer for our OAS (Object and Structure tool) development team. OAS is Scania’s in-house developed PDM (Product Data Management) system – the core system that enables Scania’s modular approach when building vehicles by housing product data, structures and support for lifecycle management. The OAS System enables continuous product introductions into Scania's existing model programs - a true competitive edge in the market.
OAS is the true core of Scania's IT landscape and working here will gain you unbelievable knowledge.

What to expect
As a backend developer in an Agile domain team, you are responsible for providing high-quality maintainable and feasible technical solutions to fulfill the user's needs or you are developing generic platform components that support our domain teams. The OAS team is organized in value streams where IT and business are joining forces and work not just close, but together. Hence our team is a mix of business and IT people forming a Value Creation Team (VCT) that interacts with other VCTs in the same area. We work with the latest agile methods (SAFe) and are in constant development regarding methods and technologies.

Your Profile
You have a passion for java development, and advocate an Agile approach to software development. You can drive innovation and manage development needs within a fast-paced, agile environment. You are a team player but are also capable of working independently. You have a proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills, and you enjoy taking on new complicated challenges. You have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with different groups within the business. Most importantly, you love to increase your knowledge!

Furthermore, you have:

• You have a degree in computer science or similar, and/or equivalent work experience.
• You have extensive knowledge of java development.
• You are able to understand and evaluate different architectural patterns and designs, depending on the task at hand.
• You are familiar with Agile-based iterative/incremental software development methods, such as Kanban or Scrum.
• You are proficient in written and spoken English.

Our offer
At Scania, our focus is on providing our employees with a long-term career facilitated by individual personal development plans. You will have the freedom to steer your growth regardless of your ambition to become a specialist or a generalist. We work in hybrid mode with the teams deciding on where you will work, from the office or from home. Flexibility and listening to individual needs are the guiding principles. You will also have the possibility to work from Scania’s newly opened hub downtown Stockholm.

In addition to an exciting career, we offer benefits such as flexible working hours, performance bonuses, lunch at reduced prices, car leasing, a pension plan, and much more.
Last but not least you will work with the very core of Scania. Without OAS, the trucks can not be sold, produced or serviced. This is fun and challenging!

Application
Interested? Great! Please help us understand why you should be our next colleague by providing us with your CV and a motivational letter. Please note that selection and interviews will be held throughout the whole application period. The last day to apply is the 6th of April.
