What you'll do



As a Finance Business Partner at SBC, you will be a key player in SBCs journey towards expansion and new medicines. Join us at SBC, where you'll play a key role in supporting our parenteral product launch and supply site, balancing daily operations with long-term business strategies. You will balance daily operational tasks with long-term central initiatives to improve organizational performance and competitiveness. You will contribute in department's continuous improvement journey, ensuring the team supporting our site in the best possible way.



Accountabilities:

* Collaborating with leaders to set clear strategic and operational goals.
* Leading initiatives to improve efficiency and drive performance improvements.
* Developing business plans and budgets, while keeping all collaborators informed about important issues and potential challenges.
* Providing an independent analysis of business performance, encouraging growth and positive outcomes.
* Providing regular financial insights to support decision-making and improve overall efficiency and business success, including crafting strong arguments for future investments.
* Identify and manage financial risks, recommending mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with Financial control framework.
* Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor financial targets and outcomes across business units.



Essential Skills/Experience:

* Educational Background: Relevant qualifications such as MSc in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Finance Business Partnering: 5-10 years of experience in finance business partnering.
* Communication Skills: Proficient in English and Swedish, with strong communication and presentation abilities.
* Financial Systems Proficiency: Experience using financial systems for budgeting, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making.
* Delivery Focus: Ability to manage challenging deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.



Desirable Skills/Experience:

* Pharmaceutical Experience: Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
* Manufacturing Experience: General experience in a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, European Customs, you will work closely with the Regional Customs and Trade Managers based in the US and UK on Customs matters, key to the AZ Group. You will be primarily responsible for providing support for Customs compliance for the Swedish entity.

What you´ll do:

* Performing periodic management checks to ensure compliance
* Be the key contact with the AZ Customs Brokers and other logistics providers to facilitate Customs clearance of the goods imported from third countries.
* Provide advice and training to personnel within the Business who are involved in activities with Customs and/or Excise implications to ensure compliance with relevant laws and minimization of duty payments where legally permissible.
* Identify legal opportunities for duty elimination/minimisation and any other Customs-related cost savings, including appropriate actions to realise these savings and contribute to AstraZeneca's overall profitability.
* Work with Operations, R&D, Finance etc. personnel on Customs, Valuation and Origin issues to ensure that Customs requirements are fully met.
* Work closely together with AstraZeneca's indirect tax team to mitigate VAT risks when importing and exporting
* Monitor proposed Customs legislation and regulations that may affect the AstraZeneca group and prepare written analysis of the same.

Essential Requirements:

* You will have considerable relevant Customs experience preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
* Previous experience in crafting an organisation's customs capability covering supply chain, conduct Customs audits, dispute management, implementation of Customs Duty regimes and ongoing operational efficiency.
* You will have a deep understanding of Customs law and its application to valuation, origin, classification and duty reliefs.
* Demonstrates the ability to take a strategic view while bringing to bear appropriate focus on the underlying detail.
* You will apply good judgement and be able to make timely decisions and recommendations regarding potentially material issues in circumstances where there is either uncertainty or incomplete information.
* Ability to build a network internally and externally with relevant functions and partners
* Proficient in Swedish and English

We work closely with Purchasing, R&D and suppliers to try to find the right technology to the right price. 

What you will do
You will support Purchasing with high quality cost calculations to find cost saving potential and negotiation arguments, both from a greenfield and supplier specific perspective. Main customer area are Commodity Interior/Exterior, and support within Electronics. 

Moreover have an active role in the negotiations and supplier selection process together with the purchaser.

Who are you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energized person with relevant work experience of 2-5 years. Preferably with background in the Automotive industry as Cost Engineer, Purchaser or Quality Engineer. You have a degree in engineering, business administration or similar meriting experience.

Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgment and can adapt to work according to Scania’s company culture.

As the role will involve international contacts and travel, you need to be fluent in spoken and written English. Swedish or German, is an advantage as well as other language skills. Experience from working/studying abroad are meritorious.
