The Role

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will support the Recovery team in managing the recovery backlog. Your main responsibility will be to prepare recovery cases for Commodity Purchasers to negotiate with suppliers. The work can be conducted partly on site and partly remote.

Key tasks:

Analyzing warranty conditions in supplier contracts
Investigating and confirming the root cause of field quality problems
Summarizing repair costs associated with the issues
Compiling a claim letter summarizing the case
Supporting Commodity Purchasers in negotiations when needed

Experience and Competencies

The ideal candidate holds at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and has relevant commercial experience. You should possess strong analytical and communication skills and be fluent in English.

The Pro-active Capacity team makes sure that all potential capacity risks, short to long-term, that might have an impact on Scania’s ability to deliver on customer promises are handled in a swift and professional manner. This team is located within the line organisation and each member is responsible for a department, hereby close operation is a prerequisite to successfully implementing proactive capacity management within Purchasing.

Responsibilities
As the supply chain risk analyst in our team, you will be responsible for making sure that we monitor and act on potential capacity risks. Once potential capacity gaps are identified you are responsible to register, pre-analyze the complex background and understand the possible impact on Scania supply. This risk information will then be distributed to the line organisation, to generate a suited action plan. During all of this, the Supply chain risk analyst supports and follows up on risk mitigation activities. This means running, as well as optimizing, our methods and processes. You will mainly have an operational responsibility to follow up, monitor, analyze, support, report, and deliver according to targets.

High-level Responsibilities:


• Responsible for either Powertrain or Chassis 

• Cab & Electronics position has been filled


• Monitor and act on potential capacity risks in our Proactive capacity management tool
• Pre-study potential gaps between supplier capacity and Scania Demand
• Distribute risk information to risk owners in the line organisation
• Investigate possible impacts on Scania supply

• In cooperation with line organisation


• Cross-functional alignment with logistics, LMA (Local material administration @PRUs), and OP organisation
• Support and follow up risk mitigation activities
• Demand input and actions from stakeholders
• Generate analysis reports on weekly/monthly bases for the organisation

• Provide weekly/monthly analyses to departments to visualize the  current situation

Supplier Escalation Management

The Supplier Escalation Manager has a key role in solving supplier capacity problems. This team gets assignments from the line organisation regarding issues that have been escalated as actual or potential capacity limitations. The team members will analyse the root cause, define needed activities and follow up implementation. The aim is to act immediately to set a short term solution and continue to work for a mid and long term solution

- Lead cross-functional cooperation to solve capacity limitations

- Make sure that tightly follow up of the supplier is done until the problem is definitely solved

Context

As a Supplier Escalations Manager You will work closely together with production, logistics, and purchasing, directly with different levels and professions in the supplier organisations. The area of responsibility is on a global level which means an international context both regarding Scania production units and a global supplier base.

Profile

We believe you are an engineer or business graduate with experience in material- or production planning within Scania P&L, preferably working with cross-functional supply chain activities.

You express an interest in logistical and technical issues, focus on results, and have a strong ability to take initiative. 

Good knowledge about production processes and Supply chain processes for the automotive business, thorough experience from logistics and/or purchasing including being used to supplier contacts.

Self-driven, courageous, demanding, and direct with the ability to ask the right questions in order to create structure and understand a problem.

Communicative, representative, and confidence-building with the ability to keep a good dialogue and relation on with different levels in supplier organisations.

You like maintaining relationships and enjoy having many contacts within different parts of the organization.

As the role involves a large international network, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.

The position requires frequent traveling, sometimes on very short notice.
