The team and our responsibilities
The team you now have the opportunity to join, consists of 18 members: design engineers, test engineers, and VCT leader roles. Each person has a unique story of how they came to TRATON. We collaborate through an agile and cross-functional setup that includes R&D, Production, and Purchasing departments to develop the Auxiliary Systems on our advanced drivelines. Within our three teams in the agile landscape, we design for the entire TRATON group. Our responsibilities include hardware parts such as Power Take Off, retarder, and hydrodrive. We design parts from concept stage all the way to customer-ready products, shaping the future of both conventional and electric drivelines.
Your main tasks will therefore consist of:
Develop concepts to meet future demands
In collaboration with testing, establish and follow test plans to verify the performance
Communicate and collaborate with cross functions and suppliers

Who You Are
We’re looking for an engineer that is passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to the future of sustainable transport. While we value experience, we believe that personality, drive, and a willingness to grow are just as important.
We’re looking for someone with:
A degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field
Experience in hardware design for driveline systems (a plus)
A proactive mindset and strong collaboration skills
Interest in both conventional and electric vehicle technologies

Bonus qualifications: Experience with Power Take Off, retarder, or hydrodrive, or previous work within TRATON or similar automotive environments.

OM TJÄNSTEN

I rollen som hårdvaruingenjör kommer du att vara placerad på ett bolag inom fordonsindustrin. VI SÖKER DIG SOM
- Har en ingenjörsutbildning inom elektronik, elektroteknik, fordonsteknik, teknisk fysik eller annan liknande utbildning
- Har kunskap/intresse för design av hårdvara och ritningar, kunna räkna på och förstå grundläggande elektronik, lödning samt felsökning för elektronik
- Du har också kunskap/intresse av användning av mätinstrument, så som exempelvis multimeter och oscilloskop
- Är flytande i engelska

Det är meriterande om du
- Har tidigare kunskap av Perforce, KiCad, Eagle
- Tidigare arbetat med Hardware In the Loop-utveckling

På NT driver vi Scanias och Tratons utveckling av transmissioner för elektrifierade och hybridfordon mot visionen om att bli ledande inom hållbara transportlösningar. Dina arbetsuppgifter
För att möta dessa behov och utmaningar söker vi nu en ingenjör för uppdragsledning och
konstruktion inom produktvård. Uppdragen kommer främst från inköp, produktion och montering, men också från MAN och i en nära framtid också Navistar.

Gruppen NTQD konstruerar och uppdragsleder i olika projekt inom Product follow up process. Mycket av arbetet går ut på att tillsammans med experter inom olika områden hitta optimal lösning för alla inblandade parter. Uppdragens karaktär varierar och motiveras av lagkrav, säkerhet/arbetsmiljö, kundönskemål eller av kostnadsskäl.

Du kommer arbeta med att leda och konstruera lösningar i våra projekt, men också med att utveckla våra arbetssätt och processer för att jobba effektivt tillsammans med våra externa kunder.

Din profil
Vi söker dig som har förmågan att leda olika tvärfunktionella grupper i både enklare och lite mer komplexa och tidskritiska projekt. Du är minst utbildad högskoleingenjör alternativt har motsvarande arbetslivserfarenhet från produktutveckling, produktion eller inköp.

Du kommunicerar obehindrat i tal och skrift på engelska.

For our electrified vehicles, the performance of the charging system is crucial to deliver premium value towards our customers. One important aspect is the time it takes to charge the vehicle which directly affects the uptime i.e. the time a vehicle is driving and generates value.

Here we need to find the right performance steps of our charging system to suit the needs of all our customer’s operations. It is not until then we fully can support our customers to electrify their whole fleets and thereby drive the shift towards a more sustainable transport system.

We are now looking for an ambitious and driven Design Engineer that will help us to set the course for the future performance of our charging system.

Who we are

UECC – Charging Components is a group responsible for the current breaking concept. We own and develop hardware components such as fuses, contactors and actuators. The group consist of design engineers and object leaders (project leaders).

About the role

As a Design Engineer you will have end to end responsibility, both developing new hardware components and improving existing components in customer operation. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment both internally at Scania, but also with suppliers and other brands within TRATON.

You will be responsible for:


• Setting requirement specifications for your components to secure the needs of customers, suppliers, production and aftermarket.
• Verification and validation of the components.
• Having close dialogue with our suppliers to discuss and understand the technical details of the design work.
• Benchmark and analyse competitors with regards to your components.
• Prepare reports and presentations, and effectively communicate your findings in various meetings.

Who you are

You are a dedicated team-player who thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment. You are communicative and well-structured in your work. You find motivation in developing the best way forward in cooperation with others. You have a good analytical ability and you navigate between details and context to find the optimal technical solution.

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within electrical engineering. Previous work experience within electrical engineering is a plus but not required.
