Area of responsibility
As a member of the IT management team, you stand for stability and control, but you should as well support the transformations where IT is in and challenge the way we do within IT. We expect you to work closely with the business and act as a partner to the Head of Scania IT and the IT management team on all business-related and financial topics. You also ensure the governance, risk, and compliance at Scania IT.

In this role you are included in Extended CFO management and have an important role as ambassador for Finance Community Strategy.
Your team consists of 8 ambitious business controllers/developers reporting directly to you. You will also be responsible for the governance and software license teams, both led by group managers reporting to you.
The Finance department’s main areas of responsibility are:
· Internal reporting, budget and forecasting
· Investment process as well as development of the Scania ITs financial model
· Advising of topics concerning commercial law and cross boarder IT
· Work with service packaging & cost/pricing as well as make or buy – to be able to benchmark for possible sourcing, for large IT investments or for different extended workforce alternatives
· To further develop business management/controlling of IT at Scania to meet a more integrated (and agile) way of working

Your range and contact areas stretch from your own teams to processes and cooperation within Scania, Traton and Volkswagen.

Your profile
You have a University degree or similar base. You have probably worked for some years as a manager within the finance area and with experience from business controlling. As a leader you have a genuine interest and ability to developing and coach people and teams.

In Battery Production we currently have a line for series production of battery packs, modules, two prototype lines for batteries and a line for the production of high voltage cables. We are in the middle of a phase where we scale up and build competence to manufacture battery packs, modules and cabling for tomorrow's e-mobility products.
During 2023 we launched a completely new product range for Battery modules & Packs for Scania’s new generation of BEV- Trucks. A completely new production facility is being built to facilitate the next generation of battery production.
We are searching for a Finance manager with a hands on approach to controlling and Finance matters in general. In this role it is key that you take on a big responsibility in leading the way in finding the optimal solutions and methods on how to financially steer the business unit in the right direction to reaching the targets and high ambitions set up.
You will play a vital role in setting the overall administrative processes such as setting the base for the internal Control Processes and implement SAP which Battery Production is the first out to use. You will also have a key role as a member of Battery Production management team.

You together with the President Industrial Operations Asia will create and secure transparency of the cross functional operation to the Head office.

Job description

As our current Finance Manager is leaving for new challenges outside Scania, we are now looking for the replacement. The main areas of responsibility for the Finance Manager are accounting and reporting, financial planning, financial- and business control and treasury. • Responsible for contact with external auditors and authorities
• Participate in key decisions to achieve the company’s goals
• Participate in any change process with regard to new or modified products and services.

The position is located at Scania Finans headquarter in Södertälje and requires active cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, Scania Financial Services Business control and Scania Group reporting in Södertälje, suppliers, tax authorities, auditors, banks, legal advisors, tax advisors.

The position will involve some travelling to Scania Finans markets.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has a high level of personal integrity, is driven and self-motivated. You should have previous management experience and a strong interest in developing and improving processes. In order to be successful in this position you will need to have a proven knowledge of IFRS, experience preferably from a Scania Financial Services company or from other parts of Scania. Your skills and formal qualifications should preferably include:


• Highly developed leadership and communication skills and co-operative
• Experience from senior and leading Finance positions
• A university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• Experience in financial group reporting and funding
• Strong analytical and financial skills with strategic thinking
• Interested in developing the business and the employees
• Corporate governance, compliance and strong ethical values
• Customer orientation and value chain focus
• Professional fluency in English as well as Swedish

You are excited by challenges and are not afraid of continuously changing circumstances to which you will need to adapt.
