Role Summary
This senior leadership role sits within TRATON Group’s Group Product Management (GPM) organization and reports directly to the Head of GPM. Based in Södertälje, Sweden, you will operate at the center of TRATON’s product strategy agenda, with direct exposure to executive decision-making and group-wide priorities.
As Head of GPM Business Development & Strategy, you serve as a strategic integrator and execution partner, translating direction into coordinated action across brands, functions and regions. You will shape and run the operating model for GPM, ensure governance excellence and elevate the organization’s ability to execute on both near-term priorities and long-term strategic shifts, including the transition toward e-mobility.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and includes leadership of two teams: Business Development and Strategic Partnerships.

Job Responsibilities
Own and evolve the GPM operating model, including leadership cadence, decision frameworks and OKR/KPI transparency across brands.
Lead governance structures and executive forums, ensuring clear decision-making, follow-up and audit-ready documentation.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of GPM, preparing decision materials and enabling high-quality discussions at executive and board-adjacent level.
Drive strategic planning efforts by balancing short-term delivery demands with long-term direction and challenging leadership perspectives when needed.
Design, harmonize, and continuously improve core GPM processes, methods and management systems across TRATON brands and regions.
Lead policy management and ensure alignment with regulatory, privacy and compliance requirements in close collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
Own digital enablement of GPM processes, including business ownership of key systems and tools.
Build and enable strategic partnerships, identifying opportunities where external collaboration accelerates innovation and value creation.
Lead risk management, audit follow-ups, and change initiatives to ensure successful execution of GPM strategy.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Commercial and other key functions in a highly interconnected and high-information-flow environment.


Who You Are
A senior leader with a strong track record operating in complex, global and multi-brand environments.
Experience from TRATON or one of its brands is required.
Experienced in leading leaders and building high-performing teams, with a pragmatic and hands-on leadership style.
10+ years of experience in the automotive or adjacent techno-economic domain.
Deep expertise in governance, operating models, process design, and policy management.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy, operations, and execution.
Comfortable operating in high-paced environments with short timelines while maintaining strategic perspective.
Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and navigating executive-level forums with credibility and clarity.
Highly collaborative, with a track record of working cross-functionally and breaking down silos.
Analytical, structured and able to manage complexity with sound judgment.

Master’s degree in engineering, business or similar (MBA is a plus).

We call the role EOM or External Operation Manager.
A typical day on the job is everything but repetitive, you will have to balance operational tasks and strategic tasks using business development skills, project management skills and purchasing skills. One thing we can promise - it will never get boring.
External Operation at TRATON Group R&D is the entry point for successful collaboration with engineering service providers. We are soundboard to the line organization to define and describe their needs. We continuously collaborate with Procurement for smooth nomination. After nomination, we help the line organization to kick-off their collaboration by providing best practices and structure. We handle deviations, change requests, and provide an overarching governance to our major partners. You will also collaborate with other cross-functions such as HR, Legal, Corporate Security, Training Academy and IT to make sure to offer a compliant and effective environment for our operations.
Here, you will learn a lot about capability planning, collaboration best practices and how to handle commercial and technical deviations with third parties. You will also build a wide network within the TRATON Group and Scania BID. EMV (Vehicle Cost) is part of EM, Modular Solutions. EMV is responsible for following up and supporting all IMTs/Tables in developing and maintaining existing products and running agreed cost rationalization projects. Our main systems for this are FRAS and our Power BI as well as our process. The PCO approach has been integrated as a natural part of Scania's product development process. We work cross-functional with all parts of the company and train employees when needed. The role places great demands on taking initiative and pursuing issues, you will also be a valuable member of our PCO (Product Cost Optimisation) Team.
Your Mission
Your main task will be to lead and support knowledgeable and committed employees around Scania in the work with cost follow-up. You are a leader with a coaching approach to our cross-functional PCO teams.
In your role, you will work with the development and maintenance of our methods, tools, and training. This means that you will have a wide network of contacts throughout Scania and Traton.

The position
In this position you would work with Connectivity from several different perspectives. You will:
· Be responsible for network sunset management and campaign initiations

Re-designing the Order to delivery (O2D) flow to make it more stable, transparent and lean is one of the Scania top priorities. The responsibility of driving the O2D system journey is placed with Presales and Sales readiness (KJ) at Sales & Marketing.

KJP, E2E O2D Business Architecture, has the accountability to set the future business architecture and system landscape – the blueprint - for O2D and to define the roadmap from the as-it to the to-be state.

We are now looking for a Concept/Business Developer to lead and define solutions that bridges and enhances our ERP solutions and other O2D systems. Enhancing the future solutions and bridging with the existing during the change journey. Your role is key for both keeping clean ERP core implementation and to strengthen areas where Scania differentiation is of essence.


About the role
In the role as Concept/Business Developer you will:

· Identify, challenge and improve current ways of working within O2D solutions based on opportunities that AI/ML & digitalisation provides, as well as requirements coming from the redesign of the E2E flow.
· Coordinate and drive business development and concepts together with domain and solutions architects, process developers and product owners.
· Good project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.
· Present solutions to stakeholders and capture their feedback, identify how systems align to meet the desired outcomes.
· Work closely with the other Business Developers, ERP Process owners and domain architects.

You will be a part of a team consisting of ERP process owners, business and information architects and master data managers within Order 2 Delivery. The extended team will also include cross-functional subject matter experts and key users from different organisations within Scania.

Your profile
As a person you are a self-driven curious team player with strong collaborative and analytical skills and enjoying the challenge of defining complex concepts and solving challenging deliverables.


You have leadership experience preferably within the area of business development and project management.

You have a good understanding and have the up-to-date insights of business possibilities through the utilisation of AI/ML and digitalisation.
You possess good presentation and communication skills and enjoy working in and contributing to an environment where team success is key.

As your first and priority assignment is to drive the implementation of Digital Delivery Plan it is very meriting if you possess knowledge and experience from working with ontologies and knowledge graph technology.

You have a degree in computers science or other equivalent degrees or work experience for the job and are fluent in English.

Scania Finans AB has a strong focus on business development to make sure Scania dealers and operators of heavy vehicles are offered a competitive range of customized financial services over time. In the Finance Product Development team we are tasked to deliver guidance and support to our seven branches on financing products further developing our Business Development activities in our markets. As the Business Development person in the team you will be a key player delivering on this promise.

Areas of responsibility:


• Lead key initiatives and projects on our journey of becoming a more efficient and forward leaning sales organisation
• Identify and bring new business opportunities to market supporting SF’s long term objectives and strategy

Your competencies and profile

We are looking for an energetic and structured person that is customer-value driven, ideally with several years of experience from financial services. The new group ‘Concept development and Investigations’ will be responsible for refining the definition and strategy of the new department. Your work assignment
