Job Description

You will support the Head of Global E2E Flow Development & Business Planning in driving the change of Scania’s E2E flow and be part of the Management Team. The position will expose you to a wide range of skilled people from different parts of the organization as well as the Executive Management of Scania. You will be involved in both the Order to Delivery process, Integrated Business Planning process Operational planning and E2E flow redesign. You will also get an in-depth understanding of the overall value created for Scania and our customers through cross functional work in planning and flow development.

We are looking for a person with a master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration and you may have started at Scania as a Trainee. We think that you have at least 3-5 years of experience within Scania, but your personality is more important that functional experience.


You are fluent in English and have a deep knowledge of MS Office. You have the ability to work both individually and in a teams as well as leading a team assigned to you.

The group and your tasks

• lead Scania’s roadmap towards achieving our Science Based Target and understanding sustainability impacts from different activities (such as biofuels, electrification and e.g. driver services)
• own and manage partnerships with fuel providers and industry associations to enable and speed up the transition to renewable energies
• support business and policy through expertise on different fuels and engine technologies, as well as a good grasp on legislative and policy frameworks
• lead initiatives using digitalisation to find new opportunities for sustainability and sustainable transport internally and externally
• lead work with intelligence and information gathering to map market possibilities
• lead business development through innovative partnerships and changes in the sales process and the supporting systems

We all also support the Business Units on a day to day basis with any question or query they might have regarding sustainable transport.

 

Your profile

You will report to the Head of Sustainable Transport and are expected to be able to work independently and take initiatives. We work closely with the Sustainability Managers and Management teams globally and good communication skills are a must. We are at the forefront of business transformation and the ability to maintain a mindset of “outside-in”, whilst also coaching, convincing and training is a key success factor: Sustainability and Profitability do go hand in hand, but it is not always easy to see. You stay up to date on developments withing the scope of sustainability and enjoy sharing relevant developments within and outside the team.

You speak English fluently and any additional language is meriting. You have a university degree and experience of working with sustainability. Experience from working in a commercial and/or services network for heavy vehicles is a merit as is other knowledge related to our industry, like product knowledge, understanding of transport and sustainability legislation and experience of working with process change and IT.

We are now expanding the team and offer an opportunity for a future colleague who wants to take an active role in the services development in the Eurasia, Middle East and Africa (EMA) Region. With Business Units that covers more than 20 different countries on different maturity levels, the position provides an exciting opportunity to be active in the development and performance in one of our most challenging regions. 

As Regional Service Development Manager, you will act as a facilitator for services-related subjects within the region and the Business Units. This means working in close interaction and co-operation with BUs to guide, support and follow up the activities to sell and produce services as well as ensuring customer loyalty. This requires high focus on business performance and a knowledge of what is needed to improve the business.

 

The position

In your position you will report to the Regional Head of Services and be an important part of the regional team. You will work closely with the services directors in the region and their teams. The proximity to the business and our services organisations at both wholesale and retail is one of the key factors to success, and therefore frequent travelling will be expected.

 

Your tasks 

As a regional service development manager, you have the responsibility and mandate to:


• Challenge the service organizations in the Business Units and identify new methods and concepts.
• Support BUs in implementing new services, processes, and standards.
• Verify and follow-up consistency of services strategies, plans and activities in BUs
• Work with the business performance by monitoring defined operational KPIs
• Identify good practices in the EMA region and support spreading these to other markets in the region.
• Be an active contributor to the Dealer & Distributor Performance activities within the EMA region and take ownership of Retail Sales Management methods.

 

Your profile 

We are looking for a customer oriented person who has a commercial mind set. You probably have commercial experience from services in retail or equivalent experience. You are also able to identify process- or strategy improvements and have the ability to identify solutions to improve customer satisfaction and retention. To be successful in this position we see that you have the skills to break down high level strategies into tactics and adapted activities for the Business Units and connect them to targets. We also see that you can lead colleagues through changes with a coaching approach to reach set targets and realize goals. While English in written and spoken is a requirement, Swedish is not a requirement.

We are now looking for a Solution Concept Leader. You will work close to customers and their customers to understand their evolving needs, but also in the boarder land between Product Development and Research & Innovation to understand what is or will be possible to create. Your scope will be solutions that are yet not in the development pipeline.

• Participate in meetings with customers and other stakeholders in the eco-system
• Identify needs and possibilities to create value
• Iterate conceptual designs on potential solutions
• The iterations should be done from both technical and business perspectives together with relevant parties

Solution & Value Creation


• The solution can be a combination of products and services from internal and external partners
• Lead the creation of the solution

Operation – Value Delivery


• Support handover to the customer and the operations team

Your profile

You have a creative mindset and have easy to see new opportunities.

Have good understanding of the eco-system from an holistic perspective and can identify needs, find solutions and business opportunities.

A generalist with broad technical skills and/or business development skills. You have a commercial and/or technical university degree and master English with high proficiency since communication skills are important for the role. You have at least 5 years’ experience from the heavy truck industry, preferably Scania.

You have easy to collaborate with others but are also comfortable with working independently.

It is an advantage if you have good understanding of vehicle electronics or skills in power electronics.
