The role
As the Finance Senior Business Partner, you will act as the one point of contact related to Finance matters for the RIA and Oncology Business Units. By having a complete overview of Sales, Gross Margins, and the full cost base for the Business Units, you will be able to effectively manage the P&Ls; of these Business Units together with the Nordic Business Unit Heads, who are mostly based in Sweden. Moreover, the role has the overall responsibility for analyzing, reporting and following up on the two Business Units' results and development, and will be supported by Business Partner Analysts to do this effectively.
You will be viewed by customers as a business expert with in depth knowledge of both Finance and the Nordic pharmaceutical environment. You will be a key member of the Leadership teams of your Business Units, and will work closely with the CFO to maximise Finance's influence on NOBA's business.
Accountabilities
The role broadly includes the following key components:
* Business Strategy & Decision Support; for the relevant Business Units - support key business & investment decisions with solid skills in scoping customer requirements, analysing issues, developing options and enabling appropriate decision making based on strategic business need
* P&L Performance; driving financial performance and business activity, to deliver and communicate performance and business planning submissions/reporting, and to advise the Business Unit management on key drivers impacting Sales, Gross Margin, and Fixed costs (both manpower- and non-manpower related)
* Responsibility to proactively challenge the business on strategy, status, growth, pricing and activities including resource allocation within the brands of the Business Unit as well as across other brands
* Will build and present analytical models that support business decisions
* Continuous Improvement, Coaching & Governance; supporting continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and to lead financial risk management and financial governance in area of accountability
* Secure correct sales and market data as well as gross margin and cost data in forecasting and reporting processes (Reporting, RBU, ABU/Phased Budget, QBR)
* Member of two Business Unit management teams as well as the NOBA Finance Leadership Team
* Ability to effectively represent NOBA Finance across the wider AZ Finance community
* Embedding the Finance Transformation changes, utilising the new systems and embedding new ways of working within Finance and with NOBA stakeholders
* Effective collaboration with internal NOBA Finance stakeholders as well as IFS Warsaw
Essential Requirements
* Qualified finance professional
* Minimum five years of experience of Finance Business Partnering
* Track-record of proven strong and productive customer relationships
* Experience of working in a global pharmaceutical organisation /understanding of the drug development life cycle and/or commercial aspects
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including oral & written
* Ability to work in virtual business setting
* Experience working in matrix organizations
* Excellent knowledge in English language
* Excellent Interpersonal skills
* Demonstrable knowledge of global and corporate business context
* Integrity to handle confidential information
* Team player and cross functional collaboration
* Ability to proactively navigate in virtual business environment with self-initiation
* Experience of using financial systems to support business decision making (budgeting, forecasting & modelling)
* Excellent Excel / modelling skills
