The team includes 9 members with expertise ranging from hardware electronics to embedded systems, covering architecture, functional safety, and cybersecurity. The team uses scrum and work in a lean agile setup inspired by scaled agile framework.
Job Responsibilities
As a Product Owner you will bridge customer needs and team delivery in a scaled agile environment. In this role, you will define and prioritize the backlog, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the team delivers the right solutions with clear customer focus. You will prepare for PI Planning, align with other roles, and drive value through strategy and execution. Success requires strong communication, agile thinking, and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing market
In addition to product ownership tasks, you will also encompass system engineering responsibilities for the computational platform. You will be involved in the technical definition, integration, and continuous improvement of the platform, ensuring it meets the stringent requirements for autonomous vehicle operation.

Your role
As an R&D Test Engineer, you will take responsibility for ensuring that our electrical components can endure the challenges of their lifetime within our trucks. Scania has decided to establish a third industrial hub in China with the capacity to produce some 50 000 vehicles per year. Alongside building a new factory and an expansion of the sales network we will also establish a local R&D organisation in China. Our mission in R&D Industrial Operations Asia is to develop trucks specially adapted for the Chinese market, the biggest commercial vehicle market in the world. This requires many new systems and functions to be developed, tested, and introduced.

The work will be carried out by a dedicated organisation – which will develop and manage the products over time. The organisation will consist of colleagues from all brands within the TRATON Group together with many new colleagues from China. We are building the organisation simultaneously as we develop the product.

Within the E/E workstream, we have the responsibility for the electrical system and all adoptions to be made in the ECUs, displays, sensors, actuators, cable harnesses, and all the software in the vehicle and the cloud. We work in an agile, cross-functional setup.


Most of the development of the China-specific systems and functions will be done in China, but the solutions are based on the global solutions developed by the Scania organisation in Södertälje. Therefore some of the development is easier to do from Sweden and this is where you come in. Your tasks will be to implement functionality in different high-performance ECUs where the implementation and testing can be done effectively in Södertälje Sweden. Your focus will be on functions for the HMI systems such as our driver display and center-infotainment system. The development will be done in embedded C and C++.
The Role
You will have a mixed role where you will be responsible for system requirements, but you will also be supporting both SW implementation and testing. The systems can be complex and you need to be able to understand a complex codebase and its architecture. When it comes to the domain knowledge for a specific system you will get good support from the teams in China and Sweden. The important thing for you is that you enjoy embedded programming and systems so that you can adapt to the tasks and develop and support implementation of new functions and help test them in a suitable way. A suitable way can vary between unit tests, bench tests, simulations, HIL Riggs, or in vehicles.

• Analyze, understand, and create internal system requirements based on external requirements coming from the legislation team and other internal customers like marketing, general business development, and after-market.
• Analyze and understand HW design (schematics) and major HW components (SoC, Micro-controller, ETH switch, EHT PHY, LIN/CAN transceiver).

The department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer- and market adaptation of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. It is an expansive area where Scania invests in order to get into new markets and segments.

You will work with both new development and maintenance of existing basic military equipment , extended- and customer specific military equipment. Development Engineer Autonomous Solutions - Sensor platform

The section Autonomous Systems Development is delivering Scania’s solution for the driverless heavy vehicles like buses and trucks. The section consists of five groups that are focusing on onboard technology and software for autonomous vehicles. In the group Sensor Platform, we are responsible for the environmental sensing solution for our autonomous vehicles. The team

Our main development task is to bring the best environmental sensing solution to the market for autonomous driving in confined areas. As a System Developer of sensor raw data processing You are responsible for data analysis of data/log files in order to characterize and formulate the sensing problem, then further develop filters/algorithms to classify sensor data in different ways. You will also work with sensor extrinsic calibration. Preferably You are also experienced in C++ so that you can integrate the filters into runtime code.

As a member of an agile team, your will work with all sensor modalities and also, when needed, help out with other work tasks that are within the scope of the team.

Power Solutions är ett affärsområde för utveckling och marknadsföring av drivsystem för industriella och marina applikationer. Ansvaret omfattar förbränningsmotorer med eller utan avgasefterbehandling, men sedan några år även elektrifierade lösningar.

Din roll
Som provningsingenjör kommer du med stöd från övriga R&D ansvara för hårdvaruprovningen på Power Solutions. Du kommer att utföra, planera och leda provning med fokus på kundanpassningar av befintliga, såväl som kommande motorprogram samt lösningar inom e-mobility. Du kommer främst att arbeta i våra celler och riggar på STC med olika typer av provning t ex kylkapacitetsprov, långtidsprov och akustikprov.

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.The Scania Powertrain Performance and Analysis team are looking for a new team member. NEOS is a highly motivated and innovative team that consists of both test engineers (driving trucks) and calculation/simulation engineers (working with virtual trucks, i.e. models). The team together, is responsible for securing the vehicle property “Powertrain Performance and Driveability”.

The person we are looking for will develop, maintain and use complete vehicle simulation models, as well as advanced in-house post-processing tools.

Our main tools are Matlab/Simulink. We develop physical models of the truck powertrain in Simscape, and control system functions in Simulink. We control the physical vehicle model, in a similar fashion as a real truck. It is necessary for you to have a solid foundation in Matlab/Simulink, and a good understanding of vehicle performance in general. You will be expected to be able to code in Matlab and to some extent Python as well.

Knowledge in powertrain hardware components and/or software development are important merits.

Most important personal characteristics  of the applicant are – team spirit, and a willingness to learn. You will be expected to reach out to your colleagues to offer assistance without being asked for it. You will also need to be able to learn on the fly, and be inspired and motivated by such an environment. The development of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system has enabled the possibility to run lean fuel mixtures, leading to lower fuel consumptions whilst also eliminating the vast majority of NOx emissions. Your role

As a developer within the team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a part of the software, while building a good understanding of the system as a whole. Developing at our section includes writing demands/requirements, coding, testing, verification and documentation of functionality. Testing is done on a rigg, in a test cell or out in a truck. A big challenge for our system is the drift during extreme temperatures and climates, so specific testing is conducted on climate tests both in the south of Europe as well as the north of Sweden.

Since we work close to the Hardware, you will take part in the whole chain from the concept phase, to implementation of code to testing and verification on the end product which makes for stimulating and varying work.

Your profile

Your hold a masters degree within for example mechanical engineering, computer sciences or electrical engineering and want to be part of a smaller group with great possibilities to affect and be heard. You are either a recent graduate or have a few years of experience within programming, possibly hardware related, with experience of for example C programming, Matlab/Simulink and Python.

Since we work with the AdBlue system it is meritious if you have read any course, or perhaps have some knowledge of hydraulics. A part of the daily work entails analysis of collected logg data to understand and to improve the system, so knowledge within data analysis (statistics and data processing) is also meritious.

As a person you are analytical, createive and have a high sence of quality, where experience of working with test and verification (for example CI/CD and test case development) is also a plus.

Your responsibility in the team

You will be working as a development engineer within the battery cell development group. Together with your colleagues, you specify cell requirements in terms of safety, performance, life and quality based on vehicle and customer demands. You cooperate closely with our cell suppliers and follow up the cell development and production at the suppliers. You also plan, specify and follow up the internal test and validation.

We work in an agile environment. In cross-functional agile teams, you work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver optimal cell integration and battery system performance. The cell development work also involves collaboration with other parts of the company such as purchasing, production, sales & marketing and aftermarket. The development of Internal Combustion Engines is crucial in order to minimize environmental impact from road transports. Vi behöver förstärka vårt teknik-team med en ingenjör som kommer jobba med både utveckling och konstruktion av våra specialanpassade värmemantlar samt sparringpartner till vår teknikchef. Role and responsibilities:

Your role is to be the voice of the customer. You will communicate daily with distributors and customers globally. By receiving, understanding and prioritizing deviations you will prepare field quality items for further processing within Scania. Travelling to site might be necessary to fully understand complex deviations, approximately ten days per year. Our field quality team consists of six employees and a manager. You will have your own area of expertise and together our team are the inlet for all deviations concerning Power Solutions.

Your profile:


• Driven as well as structured and analytical.
• Can communicate well in English, both written and spoken.
• Technical academic degree or similar work experience.
• Technically interested with a strong customer focus.
• Knowledge about combustion engines, electric drivetrains and control systems is are highly valued.

The team

The visualisation team is part of the Product Information organisation. In total, the group involves 10 people with the task of creating relevant information linked to our product range of trucks and buses. The information, consisting of text and images, supports the sales organisation when explaining the complete offering and the different specification options to the customer.

The visualisation team consists currently of three people. The scope for the team is to create complete 3D models for trucks and buses that form the basis for further visualisations linked to product information, sales training, marketing communication, digital customer events, digital showrooms etc. Visualisation can be anything from schematic illustrations and photorealistic images to digital models. The majority of our visualisation is based on CAD data from the department of Research and Development, R&D.

Within Scania we are confident in the belief that the future will depend on digitalisation. The need of having digital models to use in our sales, presales and communication channels is increasing considerably. To meet this demand we are now looking to expand our visualisation team with one person.

The position

As a Visualisation Engineer your main responsibility will be to create/build complete truck and bus models from the parts and modules we have in our CAD-system. The task includes collecting information from relevant systems and to validate the information with stakeholders from R&D and/or Sales & Marketing.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally and have close contact with R&D, styling and design, as well as various departments within Sales and Marketing such as Product Management, Product Information and Communication.

Since the need for visualisation will come from different areas you will also need to coordinate, prioritise and distribute incoming demands together with the rest of the team.

Your profile

We are looking for a team player who is eager to learn new things and who wants to develop within the visualisation area. You are interested in working with technical matters and like to describe things in a visual way. Om uppdraget 

Du kommer till största delen att jobba i vår verkstad med våra elektrifierade fordon. Du hanterar den nybyggda lastbilen från att den kommer från verkstan, i det ingår att se till att alla signaler ges till rätt komponenter och att styrsystemen kommunicerar med varandra.

Felsökning är en naturlig del av jobbet där du också åtgärdar felet eller tar hjälp av expertis. Längre fram i utvecklingsprocessen hjälper vi till med felsökning av rullande provfordon och i vissa fall även med fordon hos kunder.

Till oss på Electrical components for Gearbox & Aftertreatment söker vi en ny kollega. Rätt kandidat kommer till ett sammansvetsat team med starkt driv bestående av 11 personer där var och en ansvarar för ett specifikt teknikområde eller ett flertal olika komponenter. 

Huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter

Som utvecklingsingenjör hos oss kommer du huvudsakligen att arbeta med utveckling och elektrisk support av sensorer, akutatorer och ECUer.

Komponenterna levereras uteslutande av underleverantörer och handlas upp på en kravbaserad specifikation. Arbetet berör dels elektronik och elektromekanik men även system och funktion.

För att lyckas i rollen behöver du ha ett stort intresse för elektronik och viljan att förstå den slutgiltiga funktionen.

• Teknisk support för elektronikfrågor mot andra delar inom företaget.

At Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Pre-Development & Research, we pursue top-quality research and development of future cutting-edge ATS concepts. We operate in agile and self-steered teams that work in close cooperation with the Volkswagen group, leading technology suppliers, and academic institutions, with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies. We are searching for one Development Engineer to join our autonomous motion area. The autonomous motion area includes an understanding of the situation around the vehicle, motion planning, and motion control. We aim at the moment to expand the autonomous system to understand and respond to the underlying road conditions and build knowledge in the area. You will work closely with the members of this highly competent multicultural team, instrumental in developing cutting-edge autonomous technologies where your ideas will be encouraged and embraced. 

Your role

You will work alongside other engineers in the autonomous motion area and participate in the daily development work of the team. The role will include software and algorithm development within the Scania autonomous vehicle system as needed, to fulfill the goals of the group. The scope of work will also include working with an external partner to support the integration of algorithms, systems, and sensors related to road friction estimation. This role will also bring you into contact with Ph.D. students who are researching new methodologies across friction measurement, motion planning, and controls.

One upcoming task for the team will be to work towards all-weather autonomous motion. Striving towards understanding the road conditions at different times of the year and varied weather conditions, as well as the effect of road conditions on vehicle behavior. Ensuring the availability of friction measurements and establishing methods to ensure understanding of “ground-truth”.

You will work in a flexible environment, where the content of the work will vary according to the needs of the group and with plenty of opportunities to guide the scope of work according to your strengths and interests. 

Your profile

We look for you who are a flexible, result-orientated all-rounder, who enjoy a variety of tasks. You have an MSc combined with an interest in software and systems development. Ideally with experience in C++ or working in a Linux-based development environment. If you also can combine technical competence with an interest in being hands-on with vehicles and systems on the vehicles you have a strong profile for this role.

Scania is transforming from a heavy vehicle factory to a software-driven company. At our team, Electronic Control Unit Design, we provide the electrical platform for a major part of Scania. This means that we work with cutting-edge electronics for autonomous vehicles and 5G communications among others. We are involved in a majority of future projects here at Scania.

Your new job
You will be responsible for complex electrical hardware and follow the development from idea to finalized product. Our focus is on the more advanced units controlling the functions in the truck with a widespread from air pressure to autonomous vehicles, sensors, and AI-capable hardware. We use our knowledge in electronics together with the rest of Scania, e.g. system architecture, test, production, and purchasing to specify, develop and test electronics hardware.

Examples of tasks:


• Specify and develop the technical basis for ECUs, Advanced Sensors, and Antennas
• Together with the rest of the development team, cross functions and suppliers take care of technical challenges that occur.
• On trucks, in the lab, and by other means secure that the parts work as intended.

Your profile
You have been working in electronics for more than three years and feel comfortable with both details on single components as well as work on projects. Since we have direct contact with suppliers during different project phases you appreciate tasks that include different challenges on both a high technical level and smart networking.

Your education level is probably a Master's in electronics or similar. You speak and write English fluently and preferably also Swedish.

The following areas/abbreviations are familiar and maybe you are an expert in one of them; microprocessors, BGA, EMC, ESD, PCB design, test, analog circuits, underfill, PCB production, conformal coating, life length calculations, etc.

About the position
With the target to develop vehicles with robust EMC performance, your future team has the end-to-end responsibility, from design requirements to verification of compatibility and compliance for trucks and busses.
They are responsible for coordinating all testing on the vehicle level and execute performance and compliance tests within the team.
In the role as an object leader (project manager), you will be challenged to find solutions to ensure the team has the right vehicle specification to cover the needed test cases for their vehicle introductions.
To succeed in this role, you will take lead in several cross-functional teams and forums. You will create a wide network among several departments to coordinate component and vehicle preparations and handle deviations. Also, initiate and plan legal analysis within the area and ensure that necessary testing is performed and demonstrated to authorities

About you
You have the willingness to make a change and to get things done. You get energized by working closely with different competencies in cross-functional teams.
It is easy for you to take the initiative in social situations and you find it easy to form new relationships. You have an engineering background with a passion for electronics.
