Are you our new Information Steward?

You are passionate about solving complex problems and concretize the result in quality ensured information and continuously seeks improvements as well as enjoys learning new tools and techniques. You are also logical and analytical minded and able to seamlessly communicate technical content. You have extensive knowledge in the data and information management area and have worked with data technologies, preferably within financial and/or related industries.

 

Your role:

Responsible for execution of day-to day information owner activities. Appointed to maintain and uphold integrity, quality and knowledge about the information, the underlying data and it’s source, ensuring maximum asset value. Responsibilities covers tasks through the entire information asset life cycle and according to all relevant data governance principles and policies in Scania and Scania Financial Services. Tasks such as ensuring compliance and security of the data as well as responsibility for protecting the data, while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidance.

· Support Information Asset perspective/data governance data content perspective in our Systems and Use case lifecycle. According to information asset principles and our Data Governance

· Owner and operator of data governance for defined solution or User Journey or Use case Theme in adherence to our Data Governance Framework including applicable principles, applicable data governance features and tasks

· Owner and operator of applicable data governance tools, templates and reports

· Part of Scania and SFS Information Steward Council/Network

· Contributor and decision maker towards Scania /SFS Data Governance Framework

 

Additional information

The job offers international contacts with our Finance companies. This also means that you are expected to travel from time to time. In this position you will be reporting to the Scania Financial Services Operations Manager at Scania Financial Services. You will be located in Södertälje, Sweden.

 

Qualifications include:

· Domain expertise

· Content knowledge of all data and data assets in designated information domain

· Scania and SFS Data and Information Policies and SFS Data Governance Framework

· Proficient user of designated Data Asset management tools and standards

· Information modelling, Information architecture competence on tactical level

· Communication and teamwork

· Relevant education or equivalent experience

· High proficiency in written and spoken English

· Good command of Swedish is desirable

 

Personal characteristics:

· Driven and results oriented

· Highly communicative and pedagogic

· Good interpersonal skills and skilled at building networks

· securing methods and structure aligned with lean start-up, agile or iterative ways of working

· securing the right competencies and people in order to achieve set goals

· our PMO and its development of good steering and governance

· supporting our Director with overall administration, coordination and preparation for our internal steering bodies

 

Required skills and experience:

· University degree from relevant field, along with 5-10 years of experience within the profession.

· Ability to understand and simplify complex processes to communicate pain points and suggested actions to steering boards, together with creating business cases and visions.

· Strong people management skills, to motivate and lift performance. Need to enjoy working with many connections.

· Experience of steering agile groups and organisations working according to lean start up, together with great understanding of how this can be aligned with the Scania way of working and how Scania is managed.

· Entrepreneurial experience and business understanding in order to be able to relate to local challenges and possibilities.

· Be a confident leader both in personal relations and in managing remote staff and in a matrix organisation.

· As a person you are results oriented, extrovert, creative and stable.

· Fluent in Swedish and English as well as thorough experience of both written and oral communication.

· Leasing and Financing experience as well as organizational change management

· Solid experience of putting strategies into practice.
